November 2004 Foodstock with Ramesh in San Antonio

We combined Ramesh's all-too-short visit with an Oregon Pinot Noir tasting on Saturday night. But the first order of business on Friday when he first arrived was a visit to a Texas BBQ place for ribs. Then we did online searches for new wineries to visit on Saturday during the day.

Ramesh and Michael pose with the giant longhorn piňata,  later named  Shiner, in the front yard of Casa Belisle

Texas BBQ ribs are on the menu for this first night - here are the guys at the BBQ Station.

Ramesh and Lyn chow down on good food and Mexican beer.

After dinner, there's a fire and some nice wine and conversation

Ramesh and Lyn do a search for the Texas Wine Trails and find lots of possibilities.

Before we hit the trail, we stop by my office at Trinity University - never an end to last-minute work.

First stop - Texas Hills Vineyard. Ramesh says that it takes a visit from him to get us to good wine producers who are less than an hour away from us.

Michael tries the Muscato - not bad☺.

Cheers! Time to hit the trail. Texas Hills Vineyards is definitely worth a visit.
