The Whoopers, the Skimmer, and Rockport
Whooping Crane Weekend was as much fun as it had been in 2006. Michael and I arrived early to check out the crab traps that we had baited earlier.
Aha, it worked. Seven fat crabs in the trap.
Anyone seen our guests?
Everyone arrives safely, and we discuss plans for a fun weekend.
First things first - dinner at Moondogs on the water.
Saturday afternoon, we visit the Niņa, a replica of Columbus's ship that was built in Portugal and was visiting Rockport on its around-the -world voyage.
Michael checks the rigging - it's amazing that such a small ship could travel so far.
The resident seagulls get their supper.
Darn, another beautiful sunset over Copano Bay!
