Ramesh finds a good spot on the upper deck to take photos of the whooping crane - he will post some of his favorites on his own website. It was a beautiful day on the Texas Coast, perfect for taking pictures.

 

Here's another bird sanctuary that we visited in the island town of Port Aransas.

Ramesh surprised us with an awesome bottle of "1911" champagne - we served it in our finest Rockport House crystal. He told us the story of how he found this bottle. It is special indeed. Its label is a replica of the original champagne bottled in 1911 by Andre Clouet in the champagne region of France.

We paired the champagne with some cold fresh local oysters, caught that very morning in the bay.
