The 2008 Whooper Weekend in Rockport
We couldn't have asked for better weather to have friends down for a visit and to see the whooping cranes for their last weekend before they migrated north. The day started out looking stormy, but soon cleared up. I caught a redfish off our dock, and Mike caught some pretty blue crabs. When our guests arrived, we enjoyed the afternoon, then went out to dinner at Off the Hook.
The next afternoon, we boarded the Skimmer with Captain Tommy Moore and went off to see how the whoopers had fared over the South Texas winter visit.
