There were a few whoopers left in the nesting area - Captain Tommy said that he had spotted eight of them, including their juveniles, on his previous trip. On the Skimmer were photographers from all over the nation, getting one last glimpse of these birds.
After a great cruise, we came back to Rockport and went home to a dinner of crawfish etoufee and music. It was an excellent visit. We look forward to the Whooper Trip in 2009.
