During the week we spent at the ranch, we rode trains, went to a dinner party, and climbed mountains . . well, some of us.

We were invited to a delicious supper at the home of Sandra's childhood friend

After dinner, we all went  to the Durango Rodeo - it was a very cold evening!

The Durango Rodeo is one of the oldest in the United States

The next day, it was time to drive to Silverton to board the train back to Durango - first came lunch at the Brown Bear Cafe.

After lunch, Sandra spotted a clump of bright orange Icelandic poppies

We are "all aboard!"

Sandra and Bill drive the car back to Durango - they had already ridden the train twice,

An authentic coal-burning locomotive pulls the cars up and down the mountains.
