Our long-planned trip to Ireland was a wonderful experience. We spent two weeks there with friends Sandra and Bill Kurtin. We drove all over The Republic of Ireland in our rental car and met so many wonderful people. We stayed at B&Bs throughout the trip, and I am convinced that it's the way to go. The breakfasts were delicious and the hosts were helpful and friendly. Here are some pictures from the trip.

After a long night, we touched down at Shannon Airport

Michael and Bill pick up our rental car - they both adjusted very quickly to driving on the left.

Our first pub stop near the Cliffs of Moher - and it certainly wasn't our last - a glass of Smithwicks and a bowl of seafood chowder made the perfect lunch.

We also had Irish brown bread for the first time - good stuff.

Our first night in Ireland took us to O'Conner's pub in Doolin for some great "trad" Irish music.

These guys are excellent.

Bill and I enjoy a Guiness with the music.
