Sunday, Day Three of the San Antonio Foodstock

At Mike (aka chefmad)'s suggestion, we met at the Thai Kitchen for brunch - it was great. My favorite was the sticky rice with custard - Chris liked the spring rolls.

After brunch, eight of us toured two Texas Hill Country wineries - Sister Creek is one of our traditional pilgrimages.

Cat found the winery cat, Nala was her name -

Notice anything interesting about her eyes?

Greg and Dick discuss oaks and barrels and such -

-and at the next winery, Dry Comal Vineyards, Michael B. admired the brand new equipment.

Dry Comal Creek is fairly new, less than two years old, but it already has won some major awards

The Cabernet Sauvignon was one of the favorites of the Foodstock weekend - visit their site at http://www.drycomalcreek.com/

Cathy is in for a surprise - at Texas wineries, they serve crackers with habanero jelly

Viva Texas wines and viva Foodstocks!!
