San Antonio Foodstock

Friday evening - we meet Chefmad (second from right) in person! And, as it turns out, it is his birthday. From left, Michael Belisle, Blake, Barbara, the birthday boy, and Cat celebrate the occasion.

We heard about a wine tasting with one of our favorite vineyards, Dry Comal Creek, at an appliance store on Saturday morning. We were there! Bonnie and Franklin Houser, the owners of the vineyards, visited with us and introduced their wines to the group.

Lunch on Saturday - Beto's empanada bar. Great fish tacos and spinach empanadas.

The cabernet sauvignon wine tasting at Casa Belisle on Saturday night before dinner. Ramesh did a great job organizing the tasting.

Dinner at Two Peppers restaurant - it was great.

From the lasagna to the chicken chipotle, everyone agreed this is a place we'd visit again.

Ramesh and Barbara share an after dinner drink by the fire while . . .

chefmad, aka Mike, plays beautiful music on the guitar. Ramesh commented that it was a perfect way to end a Foodstock evening.
