A Bainbridge Island Wedding

Pictures from a recent weekend trip to Bainbridge Island, a 30 minute ferry ride from Seattle. We had not been here before, and it was truly beautiful. The happy occasion was the wedding of a dear friend's son, whom we have know since he was born. The trip convinced us of one thing - we need to come back, and to stay longer.

Michael on the ferry, which is really large, with room for many cars and pedestrians. It is also the only means to access the island.

Approaching Bainbridge Island - the island has a unique community feeling and some beautiful houses.

This is the country around Bainbridge - rocky beaches and silver gray sounds.

Here is the home where the wedding took place. Its third story has a telescope in the window through which the Space Needle seems just a few yards away.

The groom and his father (right) chat with Michael in front of the pavilion where the ceremony will take place.

The groom, Nathan, greets his sister and cousin from San Antonio - everyone is happy to get together again for such a great celebration.
