The Night-Blooming Cereus
Early this Sunday morning, we were greeted with a rare sight - our night-blooming cereus cactus had opened its blossom during the nighttime and the flower was still open shortly after sunrise. The bloom lasts only for one night. Most of the time, the cactus looks like a collection of flat sticks, but when it blooms, it is a visual treat. Thanks to my friend Anne Morris for giving me this plant!
