It was a warm October day on the Texas Coast - there were no crabs to be found on the Island of Port Aransas, so we took the ferry and went across the Channel Bridge with our friends, Bill and Carol Cook. Michael saw a sign that said "Fresh Crabs" so we turned down that road toward the waterfront . . .

. .only to find that the only crab place around was guarded by a pig!

. . .but she seemed to be asleep, so we took a chance, and.. .

Carol snuck in with an ice chest. We had to hurry !

The nice Crab Lady at PJ's Marina had a dozen and a half very nice Texas blue crabs to sell. So far, so good!

Bill dumped a lot of ice on them to subdue them for the journey home. They were pretty noisy, however, and we were glad we didn't have to wait a long time for the ferry to get back onto the Island.
