One of the nicest events (and it was a complete surprise) at the San Antonio Foodstock took place on Saturday about noon - our friend, Gerry Kaylor, employed by the Vineyards Restaurant, arranged for us to pick up some wine that he had ordered. When we arrived, he prepared wonderful appetizers for the five of us - Michael, Lyn, Dick and Chris Marksberry, and Cat Lancaster from Chicago. Gerry and Cat meet each other (right), Cat and Chris take pictures out the window of the restaurant (below, left), while Michael and Gerry check out a two-level wine opener (below, right).
Continuing this wonderful weekend, we enjoyed crab-stuffed mushrooms at the Vineyards (above, left) and toasted the perfect Texas spring weather (above, right). Later that evening, dinner was served at Karam's Mexican Restaurant (a San Antonio tradition). Joining us were Blake and Barbara, Margaret and Michael (right). Below, left, we enjoy the enchiladas and margaritas. Below, right, Cat celebrates in the courtyard with a dance to the Giant Stone Aztec - it was a great Foodstock!!
