Headline in the San Antonio Express News Metro Section: Dora Guerra, who has translated centuries-old Spanish documents for the Alamo's library, receives Historical Association award - and we were there!

Michael congratulates Dora on her award at the Roast, which was not for the faint of heart
Dr. Stephen L. Hardin was the Roaster - and a fine job he did, as you can see in the next picture . . .

Dora couldn't stand the heat, so she got out of the kitchen - how did she know that the napkin would match her dress?
Her acceptance speech was gracious and funny, just like the Lady Herself.
Congratulations from Lyn as well as many many other friends and colleagues - she is indeed a treasure.

As former head of rare books and special collections at the University of Texas in San Antonio, Dora was the curator of the diaries of Jose Enrique de la Pena, a lieutenant colonel who served under Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. She is back at the Alamo now as head of reference for its library.
