Here are some pictures from a recent happy
occasion, the opening reception of Women's History Month at
Our Lady of the Lake University. Our friend Jennifer Smith
(L.) was the 1999 Honoree. She was selected by the Women's
History Coalition and the Women's AIDS Task Force for her
work as an AIDS activist and educator.
Her supportive husband, Quentin (below), is the son of
Bill and Sandra Kurtin - Bill is the leader of the Medina
Mud Band, and all of the Band friends and family are proud
of Jennifer. Way to go, Jennifer! Nice cake, too (bottom
left).
We are proud to know such an effective community activist
- keep up the good work.
