On a warm May afternoon, members of the San Antonio Herb Society visit our garden as part of a day-long tour to see what other members are doing as far as integrating herbs into their landscapes.

First stop is the back deck, where we've added some herb planters along the fence across from the pond

The Herb Society members can't believe how big some of the koi have grown

Michael chats about herbs next to the loquat tree, which is loaded with fruit thanks to the spring rains

In one of the raised herb beds, the papayas are doing well

Last stop is the new fountain in the meditation garden - no herbs, but lots of peace and quiet

The only disadvantage to being a part of the tour is that we don't get to see the others' gardens, but we can next year!
