I like this recipe because you can make it up quickly from ingredients that most of us have on hand. It is good as a cold sauce for sliced deli roast beef or ham, and it also works as a dip. It is better if it chills for a couple of hours, but in a pinch, you can mix and serve right away.
1 1/2 Cup mayonnaise
1/4 Cup prepared horseradish
2 Tablespoons honey
2 Tablespoons dry sherry or tarragon vinegar
( choosing either one makes less difference to the result than you
might expect - both good)
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce (Tabasco, etc.)
1/8 teaspoon salt
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl and chill - makes 2 cups of Horseradish Sauce.
