We're always up for a Foodstock - a small but enthusiastic group of Foodwine members met at Casa Belisle in late May to celebrate Laurie Thompson's visit. Laurie, who lives in Syracuse (but was born in San Antonio), comes back when she can to get a Mexican food "fix" - and what better place to come for that than San Antonio?

	It was great to meet Laurie (left) in person - we picked her up at her hotel and brought her to Casa Belisle for a glass of wine and conversation while we waited for Blake and chefmad to join us. Everyone brought the Meridian Cab Sav '97, which is becoming a group favorite, although it's becoming harder to find.
The group consisted of Blake, Laurie, Mike (aka chefmad), Lyn, and Michael - We ate at Los Barrios, one of the more established, older Mexican restaurants in San Antonio. Everyone's food was good, but we agreed that Blake (right) picked the winner with the rich chicken mole. Viva Foodstocks!
