Journal of the Moon & Stars White Journal #2 Fish Journal #1 Here are three new journals (above) that I made recently for my friend and studio partner Carol Mylar. Written records of all of our thoughts, our art, our sketches, or our dreams are so precious and personal, and I believe that handmade books add to the sense of ritual.   I just completed these two journals as a donation to the Celebration Circle's Silent Auction fundraiser - sometimes we become richer when we give our work away for free in order to benefit others..

Haiku Journal #2

 Handmade journals are a significant part of my work - I like the simplicity and the usefulness of these little books. You might notice that I use fragments of their collaged covers for some of the graphic elements on this website. This is a project I teach to my students as an example of form and function.
