The November Foodstock in Beautiful San Antonio
Sunday Brunch at the Menger Hotel
Sunday brunch at the historic Menger is a San Antonio tradition. The gentleman next to Mary Hogan was sitting by himself at a table in the back . Mary and I asked him to join us, and he was a delightful addition to our table. His name is Don - he came to the Menger this particular morning because that was where he and his wife had enjoyed brunch many years ago. Don had fascinating stories to share.
Kathy and I decided that the tomato basil soup was first-rate - we had about three bowls each.
Part of the dessert table after the Foodwinos descended on it.

Greg, Michael and Kathy find their spot in the Menger Hotel courtyard.

Lyn, Greg, and Kathy take a short stroll to the Alamo - people are always surprised that it is right downtown next to the Menger (and that it is so small).
We did final farewells on the Riverwalk with the bridges and barges in the background - what an excellent Foodstock! Thanks, everyone, and thanks especially for treating us to brunch!
