Day Three: Building A Garden Shed

A lot of the early morning went toward picking out and buying shingles, paint and caulk. The roofing turned out to be the hardest, slowest part because of the slope of the shed roof and the hot weather, but Michael and Dwayne got at least half of the shingles on, and I got the whole building painted. And it's back to our day jobs for now - what a relief! Still to come: caulking, finishing shingles, and finishing touches - see the link at the bottom of the page..

1. Painting the sides is easy, even for a short person -

2. Oops, the tar paper goes across, not over.

3. Dwayne's experience with roofing comes in very handy - nailing shingles is a two-person job.

4. At the end of Day Three - all painted, almost shingled, and I'm ready to do some landscaping! No rain in the forecast, so the roof should be done soon, and the garden tools will have a new home.

As promised, here's the finished product!
