ABOUT OBJECTS OF DEVOTION:
A Monthly Practice in Making Meaning

Please join me in a monthly self-paced exploration of vessels, altars, talismans, and story objects, shaped through attention, care, and personal meaning.

In my work, I’ve come to understand that everything I make is an object of devotion—not in a religious sense, but as an act of attention, care, and meaning.

These pieces are not created to impress or even to sell, though they may resonate with others. They are created to hold something—memory, intention, presence.

Each vessel, figure, or fragment becomes a tangible companion in that process—a reminder that the act of making is itself a way of living with purpose.
"Devotion is how we stay in relationship with what matters—through attention, repetition, and care. It lives in the time we give, the care we take, and the meaning we build into the objects we create."                                                                                                              ~~ Lyn Belisle

The Listening Vessel invites you to create an organic, contemplative form that holds not objects, but presence.

Using fiber, plaster, and layered paper, along with simple, intuitive assembly, this workshop explores the idea of the vessel as a space for listening—within your work, your materials, and yourself.

Through gentle layering and thoughtful construction, you’ll create a piece that embodies stillness, receptivity, and the subtle art of paying attention.

LEARN MORE

Over the coming year, new Objects of Devotion workshops will be released one by one, each centered on creating a meaningful piece using simple, accessible materials.

Every workshop is affordably priced at just $27, fully downloadable, and designed to be self-paced so you can work in your own time and rhythm.

While the courses are independent, I’ll be there alongside you—offering gentle guidance, reflections, and inspiration through a monthly newsletter to help deepen your experience and keep you connected to the ongoing practice of devotion through making.
