WHITER SHADES OF PALE an all-day mixed media workshop with LYN BELISLE AND LESTA FRANK Saturday, January 21, 2017 10am-4pm $110 Tuition All materials included Limit Eight Participants Whiter Shades of Pale is an all-day, all-level workshop that explores the ephemeral beauty of pale values through the use of natural hues such as ivory, chalk, bone, platinum and ecru. This is a second session of the popular workshop taught by Lyn and Lesta in September of 2016. The Project – in the morning, we will create the palest of papers using various methods of enhancement such as stencilled gesso. The papers will be used on a collage on canvas construction in the afternoon. The Process and materials Practice subtle restraint in choosing and creating collage themes and materials with tissue, lace, rice paper, altered images The Goal – Construct an Ephemeral Collage on Canvas while mastering techniques and pale values for both a finished work and as an extension into other art forms.
